Tunnel Springs
Located north of Salt Lake City this is one of the most popular and versatile photography locations along the Wasatch Front. This location is defined by its golden hills, tall grass and wildfloweres, views of the Great Salt Lake, and the wooden fencing . Because of its west-facing orientation, it is a premier choice for capturing the full transition of sunset, as the light stays soft and warm long after it has disappeared from the steeper canyons.
Tips:
- Easy Access: The main photography areas are located just steps from the parking lot, making it an ideal spot for maternity sessions or families with young children who may not want to hike.
- Wind and Exposure: Because it sits on a high bench, it can get incredibly windy. Bring a brush or come prepared for the weather.
- Crowd Management: This can be a high-traffic spot for photographers. Going on a weekday session or arriving early can help secure the best sections without other groups in the background.
